Popular Sunglasses

What is the best sunglass brand?Answers vary – and they depend on the purpose to which the sunglasses are put. When it comes to popularity, we don’t have a list of top 10 sunglasses brands. However, Google searches for ‘sunglasses for men’, ‘sunglasses for women’, ‘designer sunglasses’, ‘sunglasses brands’, and ‘best sunglasses’ invariably turn up these four brands at the top of the results: Ray-Ban, Gucci, Oakley, and Prada (we carry all four;only Gucci is not held by Luxottica). These are the most searched-for brands in the last 5 years and can be considered among the top quality sunglasses brands. The most sporty of the four is Oakley, but searches for Ray-Ban top the others combined.

Top luxury sunglasses brands

In addition to Ray-Ban, Gucci, Oakley, and Prada,Google Trends searches for ‘luxury sunglasses’ adds Tom Ford, Dior and Cartier to the list. Occasionally, Céline crops up. The word ‘luxury’ often means high-priced and, even if Ray-Ban has some affordable pieces, prices are said to have quadrupled ever since Luxottica acquired it.
